Just wanted to let everybody know that my new internet magazine, Fearless Leader, is going to start coming out in a few weeks. I announced it over on my “Dawson” profile’s blog last weekend. But today, I have just finished setting up it’s new Forums & Social Network over on Ning. So what I want to do is invite all of y’all to feel free to come join it. Y’all each have an invitation to join it. Once you’re a member, you can extend your own invites to anybody else you want to join it. Here’s your invite link:

I’ll tell you what’s going on….

First things first, I got bad news for y’all who have enjoyed taking a look at my Empire of Dreams blog. It’s ending. I’m not going to add to it anymore. But I’ll still keep it around so everybody can raid it’s archives for things they enjoyed that I put up over there. But don’t worry, It’s getting replaced by something much much better….

There’s been something I wanted to do for a long long time and I’ve finally got the means and the opportunity to do it. I’m starting my own magazine, FEARLESS LEADER.

As much as I’ve always wanted to do one, the barriers and costs of doing a print edition one nowadays have made it next to impossible for anyone to make a real go of it anymore, so I’m going to make it a online magazine.

With our generation, most people get their news and entertainment off the web now, so it makes sense to go where the people are. and honestly, print magazines can’t compete speedwise nowadays with the online ones. So, FL is going to be an online magazine that is continously updated 24-7. My goal for it is to have something new for people to look at every time they come back to take a look. Between my prolific ass and some of my writer buddies I got lined up from around the world, I hope to make that possible.

Up until now, I didn’t think I had the skill or knowledge to pull it off. But I do now. I think I’m ready. The magazine is going to be a general interest magazine covering all areas of pop culture, lifestyle and nightlife. It’s going to be some unholy mutant mix of Maxim + Entertainment Weekly + Adventure + Wired.

Basically any area under the sun that catches my eye is fair game for the magazine. Anything that I think is cool, interesting, new or timeless will eventually find it’s way into the magazine in some form or fashion. But just because I have other people lined up to contribute to it, doesn’t mean it won’t be all me. It’s going to be as much of an extension of me and my ideas and tastes as Playboy was to Hugh Hefner and Virgin Records was to Sir Richard Branson…

I’ve got the site itself in Beta right now, so I’m not ready to give y’all the link right now, but sometime in the next 3-6 weeks I’m going to have it up and running for y’all to look at.

That’s gonna be the attitude that the magazine takes toward life and the world itself. It’s gonna be about taking life and the world and wringing every little little bit of fun, happiness, and positivity that you can out of it for yourself, your people and the world at large…

 I’ve got big plans for this thing. It’s gonna have forums and social networks and the whole deal of spinoffs all down the line, so it’s gonna be my biggest project and challenge yet to date. So wish me luck, cause I’m gonna need it….
