I Feel Dirty Laughing At This…
This week’s LLOTW is my favorite Lois Lane, Erica Durance. Her film roles include: The Untold, House Of The Dead, The Butterfly Effect 2, and Ecstasy. Her TV work includes: Tru Calling, Andromeda, Stargate SG-1, and Smallville.
She was ranked #63 on FHM’s Sexiest Women in the world 2005.She was also named #38 in FHM magazine’s “100 Sexiest Women in the World 2006″ supplement. (2006).
1. What are your favorite horror and/or suspense films? What horror/suspense films do you think are terrible? Do you tend to watch a lot of them, or do you avoid them completely? Do they give you nightmares and/or continue to “creep you out” for days, or are they gone as soon as you leave the theater?
A: There are so many, I’ll skip this one. The ones I think are terrible are the PG-rated remakes of good R rated films. If you’re going to do it, do it right. don’t mess it up by listening to some suit with charts. They are pretty much gone as soon as I leave, unless they are really good.

Movie trailers: some love them, others loathe them. What do you think of them? Do you make it a point to arrive in time to see them, or do you try hard to walk into the theater after they’re over? Do you ever watch/download them on the internet? There is even a television show that that only shows movie trailers. Do you watch that show, or would you if it was available in your area?
A: I watch them. Sometimes I will watch them if I’m interested in the movie.I used to watch it sometimes.

A: I get the biggest, butteriest, saltiest bucket of popcorn they have. Usually I don’t since they charge an arm and a leg nowadays. I eat the same…

Do you have any film traditions in your home, such as watching It’s a Wonderful Life at Christmas or Night of the Living Dead at Halloween?
A: I end up doing the whole It’s A Wonderful life at Christmas thing with my family. Also i do the Halloween month of Horror thing where you try to watch a horror film every day for a month until Halloween night when I can.

How do you feel about nudity in films? Does the potential nudity content affect whether or not you will see a movie? Have you ever seen a movie that you would have liked better if it had less nudity in it?
A: I’m not against it, at all. Yeah, it affects whether I’ll see it or not. Some movies the only way you would drag me into them is if they got a good nude scene in them with an actress I think is hot. Like say, the Break-up. The only reason I watched that at all was cause I heard Jennifer Aniston had one in it. And ladies, not to burst bubbles, but all guys think that way.
Have there ever been any that I thought could do with less nudity? Nah, but some of them have went the complete opposite way nowadays like the Covenant where the only nudity you see is some male nudity when there was a perfect set-up for female in the Lead Actresses shower scene. Now I don’t begrudge the chicks & gay guys getting their own eye candy, just make sure us straight guys get to see some hot chicks. Sometimes that might be the high point of a working man’s week…

Off To A Spirited Start….
Everybody go out and pick up Darwyn Cookes new book, The Spirit, based of off the famed creation of comics great Will Eisner. DC updates the time line of the book while keeping true to the spirit of the original stories. I hope it sells like gangbusters so more of the younger generation can see what a great character Denny colt was, is, and could be….

A: Probably about 13 1/2 hours a week, down from much more since I have started to make the shift from watching some programs every episode and started watching the DVD season collections of them instead when they come out…

Tue: Veronica Mars, Boston Legal, Nip/Tuck- NCIS, House (DVD)
Wed: Lost – Bones, One Tree Hill , CSI:NY(DVD)
Thu: Smallville, Supernatural, CSI
Fri: Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica- Numbers(DVD)
Sat: Legion Of Super Heroes
some like 24, The Shield, The Sopranos, Entourage whenever they are on…
So: 13 1/2 hours that I look for, 8 I’ve moved to DVD….

3. What’s your movie watching like at home? Do you watch a lot of movies? Do you have a Netflix/Blockbuster type thing going? If so, do you like it? Why/why not?
A: I try to watch a movie everyday if I can and time/life permits. I read an interview in Time Magazine a while ago with John Singleton who said that that was one of the best habits you could get into if you wanted to write movies. So I picked up the habit.
Yeah, I have Netflix. I love it. I burn through more movies/TV shows now than I ever have before and am so glad that I always have something to watch when I get home everyday, if the TV shows that night suck. And no late fees, thank god…..
