This Week’s LLLOTW is the beautiful Kristen Bell of TV’s Veronica Mars. If you haven’t ever saw this show, you should because it is a terrific show with a strong, sexy, and funny female lead which Kristen fully embodies in her acting. She is set to breakout in a new horror movie, The Pulse, which is opening shortly on the big screen. Somebody at DC/WB should get this girl to play Supergirl, wouldn’t she just have the perfect look for it…..

I just got back from seeing Kevin Smith’s new movie, Clerks 2. It was funny as hell. Everybody should go out and see it if you get the chance, even if you haven’t ever seen the first one. It was a good story about guys, friendship and what you are going to make out of your life, all the while wrapped in Kevin’s trademark humor.
Every one in this movie gives a funny performance during the time they have on screen from Ben Affleck/Jason Lee/Wanda Syke’s cameos to Jay & Kevin in full on Jay/Bob mode to the main three character’s situations. The friendship between Dante & Randall is the centerpiece of the movie and powers it. And the love story with Rosario Dawson puts it over the top (that and her hypnotize-you-with-her-playfully-bouncy-rack dance to the tune of the Jackson 5’s ABC123).
It is one of the funniest movies I have seen in a while, but it also has a heart to it. After I got back home today, It made me want to pick up the phone and call my best friend just to catch up with him. That to me shows me that it’s a movie that will make you think, aside from just making you laugh like one of the Joker’s insane pet hyenas.
Even if I probably am scarred for life from Jay’s Buffalo Bill Dance……..

I can’t tell y’all how much I am looking forward to the new Buffy The Vampire Slayer series set to come out from Dark Horse here pretty soon. With art (like above) by Georges Jeanty and written by Joss Whedon himself, it purports to tell Buffy’s adventure after the end of the series. A Season 8, so to speak. It looks cool as hell so far….

One of the tidbits of news out of the big con is that Fangoria Magazine is jumping into the comics world with a new line of horror comics. I for one am looking forward to this, not out of any great love or not for Fangoria, but because it will help enlarge the variety on the stands. First Westerns were making a comeback, now Horror, Maybe Funny Animal Comics next( who knows)…..
